MALAMALA MAIN LODGE |
At Mala Mala Main Camp, there is a total of 18 rooms, including luxury suites, a disabled suite, and family rooms provide accommodation for 36 guests. Each thatched unit is unique in design; the interiors are furnished with rich simplicity of African design. The two spacious en-suite bathrooms per unit are fully fitted with a bath and shower. All the units have a private shaded deck on which to observe nature's perfection one-on-one, as animals arrive to drink in the Sand River or graze from the surrounding bush and grasses.

Highly qualified Rangers and trackers, who are masters of the bush veld, lead their guests in a comfortable open 4-wheel drive safari vehicles to find the wildlife in the MalaMala Game Reserve. There are two-game drives per day, Morning and Late afternoon/evening. Guided bush walks will help the guests to learn more about South African fauna and flora are also available on request.

The lounge, dining room and intimate bar have a distinct "safari feel" with soft plush couches and chairs, the walls bedecked with animal skins and African artifacts. There is a large deck, shaded by enormous jackel-berry trees, and looks out over the Sand River where animals arrive to drink and bathe. Breakfast and lunch are both served on the deck under the shade of large canvas umbrellas. Dinner is served under the African starlit skies in the "boma". Additional features at Mala Mala main camp public areas include a wine cellar housing some of South Africa's finest wines, a well-appointed safari boutique, swimming pool and "bush" gymnasium providing the guests a chance to relax and unwind.
