Accommodation

Sweni lodge has 6 riverside double rooms, all suites have their own en-suite bathroom, plus an outside shower, mini-bar, room mini-safe, air-conditioning, overhead fans, direct dial telephones, hairdryers, insect spray, mosquito repellent and citronella wipes. All suites have game-viewing decks with a panoramic view of the river, where animals large and small come to drink. 

 

Activities

Early morning and afternoon/evening game drives in open Land Rovers are conducted where guests may spot the "Big Five" - Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo, as well as other species of mammals, for example cheetah, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, hippo, wildebeest, kudu, and many other. Guided bush walks are also offered to guests staying at Singita Sweni Lodge.  

 

Facilities

The lounge and timber-deck dining areas overlook the Sweni River. There is a  bar area, with a wine cellar, which has a selection of South African wines. Other facilities at Singita Sweni Game Lodge include a gymnasium, health spa, library with Internet facilities and satellite TV.   Dinner is served in the open "boma" under African starlit skies. Guests can relax around the swimming pool in the afternoons. At the Lebombo Village there is a art gallery, gym and health spa, wine bouquet as well as interactive ranger centre, with stock of fashionable bush wear and jewellery and African artifacts. Camera film, batteries and basic necessities are available for purchase.
