Sand Reserve adjacent to the Kruger National Park, as well as within the Kruger National Park. These lodges have become synonymous with the ultimate in exclusivity and luxury. It may be difficult to tear you away from the extreme comforts of the lodge, but the Singita Reserve commands every bit as much attention as your private suite. Typical of the Sabi Sands and Kruger National Park, you will no doubt encounter all the big safari attractions - including herds of elephant, large lion prides and solitary leopards. The birdlife in this area of the Kruger can be equally enchanting so make sure to keep your head in the clouds while on game drives. The balance of hospitality, conservation and community is what sets Singita apart, and has been the focus from the very beginning.
Located in the Singita private reserve within the Sabi Sands nature reserve are the two founding lodges of Singita Ebony and Singita Boulders Lodge.
Singita Ebony LodgeWithin Sabi Sands is Singita Ebony Lodge: the founding safari lodge of the Singita brand. This luxurious lodge, lying in the shade of jackalberry trees, has a spectacular location on the banks on the Sand River in the Sabi Sands Reserve. Singita Ebony gives a bohemian take to a traditional bush lodge. Large wooden decks overlook the river and a there is a lovely communal lounge and library area. The secluded thatched suites are the epitome of elegant comfort, with rooms styled with an eclectic mix of colours, fabrics and textures. A colonial feel with Egyptian linen, African throws, antiques and modern luxuries combine to create a homely, lived-in feel. From the vast wooden deck to the pool overlooking the Sand River, it’s not uncommon to see elephant, buffalo and antelope grazing only metres away at any time of day. Perhaps this is where the notion of an ‘armchair safari’ was perfected… The lodges commanding presence evokes an intense feeling of familiarity - as if visiting a congenial family home, with sumptuous cosiness that tempts you into relaxation and reflection.

Guests are lodged in 12 luxurious suites (24 beds), of which two are double family suites -
(Singita Ebony Lewis Suites). Each one is airconditioned and consists of a sumptuous en suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower, and an expansive living area with double-sided fireplace, mini bar and fridge and private wooden leisure decks with a heated private plunge pool. All the suites have direct dial telephones, and the library has two computers and direct Internet links.
Singita Boulders LodgeAlso within Sabi Sands is Boulders Lodge. It has a contemporary air of tranquillity that honours Africa in an authentic way. Inspiring the name Boulders was an enormous boulder that sat right in the middle of the place where the wine cellar was to be built. A simple decision was made to build the cellar around the boulder!

Guests can enjoy wrap-around views from most parts of the natural stone lodge, and the lookout deck offers the perfect spot from which to observe wildlife drawn to the Sand River, where monkeys play in the trees and herds of elephant occasionally wander by. The design of Boulders is inspired by the rough natural geometry of the rocks around it, and blends well into the surrounding wilderness. The large timber decks overlook the surrounding bush, where monkeys play in the trees and herds of elephant occasionally wander by. With a contemporary take on African Adventure, the natural rock inspired exterior design is echoed inside with elemental curves and textures where straw baskets, neutral shades and textured fabrics complement wooden furniture. The main lodge area has the lounge and timber deck dining areas overlooking the Sand River, a bar area and traditional open boma, gymnasium, health spa, library and wine cellar. Boulders also has 12 suites, with two offered as double family suites. Each suite boasts its own en suite bathroom and shower, outside shower, private heated swimming pool, double-sided fireplace, mini bar and fridge, room mini safe, air-conditioning, overhead fans, private lounge, direct dial telephones and gameviewing deck.
